INSONS Electrical Launches Fire Resistance Cable



INSONS Electrical, Electronic & Home Appliances, has on Friday September 15 launched Havells cables and Havells electrical appliances at the Radison Blu Hotel in Freetown.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of INSONS Electrical, Dilip Narwani said that Havells products are of high quality. “We are dealing with electrical and solar appliances across the country. We decided to showcase the Havells cables and other appliances because the cable does not catch fire. This is the appropriate time for such product in the country, as every other day we are hearing news about fire disasters in the country.”

Mr Narwani said that the Havells cable is expensive more than the other cables, but it has a lasting life span and it is durable. “It is better for a contractor to buy a product that can last longer than buying the other products that cannot.

“It will be better for someone to buy Havells product because it is durable and cannot catch fire,” he emphasized.

He said Havells products include switchgears; sockets, premium fans copper flexible cables, and Industrial electrical products, among others.

Dinesh Rao, Senior Manager of International Business, explained that Havells is one of the world’s largest lighting and electrical companies. He said the company operates in 52 countries, adding that they have domestic appliances like wires, switches, cables and fans.

He said they have pillars of growth in brand, distribution and manufacturing, adding that they have network of over 20, 000 distributions globally and over 5000 dealers over one Lakh ratail outlets.

Loslie Ned Yaskey, president of Sierra Leone Electrical Construction Association, said that Havells products are the best. He encouraged the public to go in for Havells product. “The problems with Sierra Leone market, even people who have money go in for cheaper products. So, we have to educate the market about our products.”

He said that “in electrical work, one should also purchase quality product because it will last for over 25 years.”

He explained that most of the cables are copper and it’s of a very high quality cable, noting that the strands are good and it’s of international standards.
