Ade Thompson was on Monday dragged before Magistrate Moody for sexually penetrating an eight year old child on the 2nd April which is contrary to the Sexual Offences Act and the Laws of Sierra Leone.
Testifying before the court, the victim narrated how the accused sexually abused her on two occasions in a wash yard each time the victim’s aunt was not around.
In her testimony, she submitted that the accused is an uncle who resides at the same address, adding that on the said date, the accused instructed her to meet him in a wash yard where he forcefully had a sexual intercourse with the victim on the floor.
The victim further informed the court that while the accused was inserting his penis into her private area on the said date, she started crying due to the pain she was feeling when a man she cannot identified caught them during the act.
The victim further disclosed that after the said man caught the accused inserting his penis into her private part, the accused pleaded with the man not to report the matter to the police, stating that the victim didn’t have any injury in her virginal.
She also added that on their way to report the matter to the police, the accused ran away but was later arrested by some community youths who reported the matter to the police.
Meanwhile, the matter is being prosecuted by Assistance Superintendent of Police, Tommy Zizer. The matter continues on 7th June 2016.
