Adama Kuyateh-first Sierra Leonean female football coach assigned to coach in Africa championship has disclosed her passion of helping to improve the talents of kids.

“I have passion to tap on young talents especially the one that has to do with football,” Coach Adama Kuyateh said while speaking to Edulabgh

She said the development of soccer game starts with teens, recalling her experience at FC Johansen during the CAF championship. According to her, she enjoyed her stay as a Coach at FC Johansen where she added value to her coaching career.

To develop the potential of a player, she said, “We must have coaches that are ready to teach the game from the youngster level (ages 6-18) through the professional level.”

She noted that she designed the AK360 soccer programs so that players could discover the joy of playing soccer while developing their skills as well as learning the game.

“Training methods are designed to develop self confidence in each player on and off the field,” she said and added that “No matter what the age of the player, positive experiences will always be shared with others and therefore the need for training/teaching manuals.”

She explained that her dream is to ensure that youngsters get a very good foundation. She said the AK360 soccer program is open to everybody, adding that they are currently in Maryland-United State of America with aim of expanding the AK360 soccer programs.

Adama is former collegiate level player and is USSF and CAF licensed. She has trained and coached up to the Premier league division in Sierra Leone, West Africa.

Coach Adama was the assistant coach for FC Johansen which went undefeated in the first division of Sierra Leone’s football league which then led to the team being promoted to the premier league. With Adama’s participation and leadership the team took fourth position in the premier league leading to a playoff qualification for the Confederation of African Football Champions league during their first season.

Adama is exposed to and trained in all positions of competitive play, expertly knowledgeable in rules of the game as well as in team and individual strategy, and is a born leader on and off the field.
