Family to Osman Foday Yansaneh, the current Secretary-General of the All People’s Congress political party has debunked ill health rumors of the heavyweight politician.
“We want to assure the general public that the NSG, Ambassador Osman Foday Yansaneh is stronger than ever and is in a very healthy mood.”, the family said in a statement issued yesterday.
The statement further read: “We wish to denounce any gimmick around social media and newspapers about the health of our father, brother, uncle, grand-daddy etc.
Amb. Yansaneh was in Makeni and Kamakwie two days ago to witness the Funeral Service of the Late Vincent Kanu where his tribute described the death of Dr Vincent Lamina Kanu as an irreparable loss to the ruling All Peoples Congress. He said the funeral is owned by the APC, as he has always been there for the party and had made huge contribution to the APC.
We appreciate the concerns of those who made calls in appreciation to endless service he has rendered to the NATION and the Ruling ALL PEOPLE’S CONGRESS PARTY as a whole.
The Secretary General of the party Alhaji Ambassador Osman Foday Yansaneh did not sign up into politics for people to wish ill of him, stating he was paralyzed and almost dead in the hospital.
We can recalled that the sod was turned three months ago for the Party Headquarters in Makeni and work has commenced with the office block, while the Ernest Koroma Hall which will accommodate over 3000 people is set to start soon, and this project is headed by him.
Where he called on senior party stalwarts and supporters who are yet to meet their commitments, to comply with pledges made in support of the project during the laying of the foundation stone, adding that the project is one of the legacies of the current Chairman and Leader. He expressed gratitude to President Koroma for his inspiration, material and financial support to the project, and informed that the party has launched the rehabilitation of the Bai Bureh Hall in Port Loko.
The Secretary General thanked the Minister of State – North, Mr. Alie Kamara, for his continued support to the project, while commending the project manager Hon. Alimamy P. Koroma for his steadfastness in pushing the project forward.
This is more sincere than politics, this is family.”
