The Honourable Member of Parliament for Constituency 052 in the Port Loko District who doubles as House Majority Leader is expected to be appointed as Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, according to Global Times sources.
If his appointment goes through, Hon. Ibrahim Bundu will be succeeding Ambassador Victor Bockarie Foh, who has already been appointed as Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone.
He will be the fifth person to serve as Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, since President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma came to power in 2007.
Hon. I.B. Kargbo of Constituency 030 in the Bombali District is expected to be appointed as House Majority Leader, according to sources close to the APC Parliamentary Caucus.
Also expected to be soon appointed as a member of the Cabinet is Ambassador Osman Foday Yansaneh. He is according to State House sources, expected to be appointed as Minister of Works, Housing and Infrastructure.
Mohamed Bangura, the former UDM Chairman/Leader is expected to be appointed as Minister of Lands, Country Planning and the Environment, according to reliable State House sources.
State House sources are confirming the announcement of a new Cabinet any time this month. So far, there has been no independent confirmation of these changes. The last Cabinet changes took place on 29th December, 2015.
