The Sacked Minister of Lands, Country Planning and the Environment, Musa Tarawally was sacked following allegations of corruption. His sacking followed a pronouncement from the President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma of establishing a Special Committee to look into the allegations.
The pronouncement of the President was viewed by many Sierra Leoneans as usurping or undermining the powers of the country’s Anti-Graft Body, Anti-Corruption Commission.
The President was also spotted at the Shopping Mall built by the sacked alleged Corrupt Minister, Musa Tarawally.
The questions in the minds of many Sierra Leoneans now are:
What is happening with the investigation?
Where is the Committee Mr. President?
Why didn’t you leave it with the ACC?
Mr. President, are you fighting corruption?
These questions need urgent and honest answers.
