The former Minister of Lands, Country Planning and the Environment, Hon. Musa Tarawally yesterday formally handed over office to his deputy, after he was relieved of his duties on 21st December, 2015.

Formally handing over to the Acting Minster of Lands, Country Planning and the Environment, Hon. Musa Tarawally outlined the challenges he faced as Minister of Lands since his appointment in early 2013. He disclosed that the Ministry has a total of twelve programmes to be implemented this year.

Hon. Musa Tarawally disclosed that the flagship programme of the Ministry is the development and roll out of the National Land Policy.

The outgone Minister said one of the targets that he was determined to achieve if he had stayed in the Ministry was the “amicable settlement of land disputes”.

The Acting Minister of Lands, Country Planning and the Environment, Ahmed Khanu thanked the outgone Minister for a job well done.
