Three students of the Islamic Senior Secondary School along Hotagua Street in Kenema, Ernest Koroma, Abdul Sesay and Ibrahim Fofanah are currently in Police custody at the Kenema Police division for an alleged stabbing of one of their school mate Alie Koroma.
Head of the Anti robbery unit Kenema police division Inspector Sessie Komba explained to the Press that last Thursday Police received a distress call from the Islamic Secondary school that there was fighting among students of the school and that offensive weapons were being used including acid, cutlasses and knives.
He said upon arrival at the scene Police arrested the three suspects while the others took to their heels and the victim was rushed to the Government hospital for treatment.
The Anti robbery boss assured the public that after investigation the accused persons will be charged to court and call on the general public to provide vital information to the police as police is now prepared to combat the issue of clique activities in our various communities adding that most of the youths who belong to these various clique groups used their weapons to terrorise inocent people especially at night.
He expressed dismay over the increase of clique groups in learning intitutions citing the Methodist Secondary School, Holy Trinity Secondary School and Nasir Ahmadiyya Muslim Secondary School to name but a few.
Most of the clique groups that currently exist in Kenema City and its environs includes Small Old Day (SOD). CCC for (Central Coast Clique), (ECG) Eastern Coast Gang, (BBC)Blue Black Click. (Blue and black), (GFM) Green Flag Movement with colour Green and white muffler, (MOB) Men of blood and (KKK) Kuss Kass Killer.
Most of the members have tattoo on their skins. The highest title among the female is Mamie Queen while the male has title like 5-0, Capon among others.
