The Ghanaian born tactician has named 12 foreign based and nine home based players for the three encounters.

This will be the first time that the tiny West African state will host an international match since Ebola became a worrisome issue in the country in July 2014 and this will also be the first time since the early 80s that the country will host a class A international friendly.

Speaking shortly after announcing his 21-man squad, Coach Sellas Tetteh expressed optimism that his boys will go for the gold especially when they will be playing at home for the first time in 21 months.

“We have prepared well for these matches despite several hiccups and I’m sure the fans will be there in their numbers to give us the support to do well for the nation. The boys are in high spirit and highly motivated and I’m sure they will come out of these matches with their heads raised up,” coach Tetteh assured.

Sierra Leone last played at home in a 2-0 win against Seychelles in the 2015 African Cup of Nations preliminaries on July 19, 2014 and these home matches will be a delight for the fans who had longed been waiting for football to come back home.
