Sheikh Salman Bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, one of the contenders for the FIFA presidency has informed the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) president that he would be extending a helping hand towards the development of football in Sierra Leone.
The Asian Football Confederation boss was having lunch with Madam Isha Johansen in Kigali, Rwanda, where the CHAN tournament is being held and they took the opportunity to chat the way forward for football development in Sierra Leone
“This is not a political promise but one borne out of the desire to help a very powerful woman like Isha. Whether I win or lose, I will help you to develop your federation and football in Sierra Leone” Sheik Salman told Isha Johansen.
Sheikh Salman Bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa is a member of the Bahrain Royal Family and graduated from the University of Bahrain in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and History.
He has been involved in football for many years dating back to the 1980s when he played in the youth team of Bahrain Division I team, Riffa Club.
