Two accused, Abdul Karim M. Sesay and Alimammy Sheriff were yesterday committed to High Court on allegations of posting a sex video of an underage SSSII pupil that went viral on social media, mid this year.

During the hearing at the Freetown Magistrate Court No. 1, presiding Magistrate Aboubhakarr Binneh Kamara said the accused are found wanting on three counts of “voyeurism” and “blackmail” therefore they should stand trial in High Court pursuant to the offences charged.

The particulars of offence states “the accused are charged on voyeurism because on a particular day in July, video taped the victim while she was engaged in sexual intercourse with one Unisa Mansaray without their consent. Police alleged that the accused used the said video to blackmail the victim.”

In her testimony, the victim explained that sometime in July 2016 she received a call from Unisa to meet him at Bai Bureh Road Kissy, at his workplace where they mend car tires.

After school around 6pm in the evening, she explained “Unisa took me to a corner and asked me to have sex with him but I refused but he persuaded me and forced himself on me.”

She told the court that she was not aware that the two accused were video recording her. She continued, two days later two guys approached her and showed her the video. “I appealed to them to delete the video,” she said.

Adding that instead the second accused, Alimmamy Sheriff demanded sex in exchange, but she refused to oblige to their blackmail that was when the video went viral on social media. During the Preliminary Investigation the accused were grated Le 50 million bail.
